Fillings
Our premier filling treatment is utilized to reverse the damage of decay, repair cavities, chips, and cracks in teeth. Fillings are composed of ceramic or porcelain and a safe alternative to amalgam fillings. Amalgam fillings contain mercury and are visually unpleasing. We are proud to offer the leading white filling options and amalgam replacement treatment for patients. At Burbank City Dental, our practice is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and technology to perform all dental treatments.

Dental Filling Procedure
The dentist will prepare the patient for the procedure by administering a local anaesthetic. The tooth will then be prepared for the filling as the dentist uses a drill or laser to lightly remove the decay and recover the tooth. A deep cleaning will be performed to finalize the preparation. The dentist will adhere the white resin filling through bonding and cure it into place with a specialized light. The filling will then be shaped and polished into place. The dentist will schedule a follow-up procedure with the patient to assess their recovery process.
Replacing Amalgam Fillings
We also specialize in carefully replacing old amalgam fillings for our patients. If replacement is needed, we will meticulously remove the filling to place the new filling. The dentist will initially remove the filling to prepare the tooth. An impression will be made, and a temporary filling will be placed on the tooth. During the second appointment, the temporary filling will be removed and the new filling will be bonded to the tooth.
